Jason Segel

Jason Segal (born Jan. 18, 1980, in Los Angeles, CA) got his big break in 1999 with the Judd Apatow series Freaks and Geeks. He had a long run with TV’s How I Met Your Mother, aside from starring in the 2008 Forgetting Sarah Marshall, he also wrote the film. His first Golden Globes nomination came with the series Shrinking.

 

He’s starred in Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty (2022), James Ponsoldt’s dramatic biopic, and The End of the Tour (2015). He’s acted in The Discovery (2017), Joshua Marston’s Come Sunday (2018), I Love You, Man (2009) opposite Paul Rudd, Jeff, Who Lives at Home (2011) opposite Ed Helms and Susan Sarandon, Knocked Up (2007), This Is 40 (2012), The Five-Year Engagement (2012) opposite Emily BluntBad Teacher (2011) opposite Cameron Diaz, Gulliver’s Travels (2010), Despicable Me (2010), Windfall (2022), and Our Friend (2019) with Dakota Johnson and Casey Affleck.

 

Segel has also created, wrote, directed, produced, and starred in the anthology series Dispatches from Elsewhere (2020).
